Fosieby
Enterprise Group.
Know - How & Ability.
The
runestone in Fosieby is the oldest piece of information in the area and
shows activity from the Viking age. The text goes like this: "Esbjörn
raised this stone in memory of his business partner Dvärg - a solid
man and friend."
We
keep the historical inheritance and carry on the tradition by developing
our know-how and ability.
Fosieby Enterprise group is the biggest private employer in Malmoe. Since
the start in 1973 we have expanded vigorously and today there are 210
companies employing 7000 people all together.
The
member companies of our organization represent most lines of business;
nothing is too small, too big or too complicated for us.
Fosieby Enterprise group includes companies which manufacturing toothbrushes,
tools and machines; companies baking bread, roasting coffee, smoking salmon
and sausages, working with constructing design or with advanced printing
industry. Our wholesalers supply building material, agricultural machines,
medical articles or electrical equipment.
Fosieby
has many kinds of services nearby, like postoffice, banks, hotels, restaurants,
supermarkets etc. In Fosieby, we know that no company will ever be better
than its employees. We invest in the comfort and contentment of our employees.
The Enterprise group, among other things, has initiated a day-care nursery
and a health service centre for the companies in Fosieby.
The
communications are very good and improving daily with the Öresund
bridge and its connecting infrastructure. By car it only takes 20 minutes
to the airport of Sturup and 10 minutes to the centre of Malmoe with its
railway station and harbour. Hovercraft and ferries travel on an hourly
basis to Copenhagen (Denmark) and its international airport, Kastrup.
Fosieby is where the roads of Europe meet. Our road network is connected
to all big and important motorways leading to Europe.
In
Fosieby Enterprise Group our philosophy is:
Co-operation
between companies leads to strength and success. Together we are obtaining
advantages that would be difficult for single companies to achieve.
The
numerous lines of business in the group also give an interesting exchange
of experience. The companies cooperate with international partners and
universities in many fields, e.g. environmental protection.
About
ten years ago Unido (United Nations Industrial Development Organization)
recommended all small enterprises to study Fosieby Enterprise group -
a lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then, but we can assure
you that our Enterprise group still is worth a visit.
We would like to have some exchange of information with a potential counterpart
to the Fosieby Enterprise group or with your Chamber of Commerce. It would
be of great interest for us to get in touch with companies in your country
which are interested in a Swedish
business partner.
